I’m Laura, the founder of Athena Accounting & Bookkeeping Services. I have been supporting small businesses with all things accounting for five years and I absolutely love it!
My Story

I chose to specialise in working with female coaches and consultants because I've witnessed first-hand the incredible impact these women have on their clients' lives. However, I noticed a pattern – so many amazing coaches were struggling with the financial side of their businesses, which was preventing them from reaching their full potential.

As an accountant, I realised I could remove that barrier. When coaches understand their numbers and have their finances organised, they're free to focus entirely on what they do best - transforming lives. There's something deeply fulfilling about being the support behind-the-scenes that enables these women to scale their impact.

​With over 15 years' experience in accounting and finance, I take pride in ensuring work is carried out accurately and competently. Fear not! I'm certainly not a stereotypical accountant. I'm friendly and approachable, and most importantly a good listener – I will take time to understand your requirements and tailor a package to suit.

I am fully qualified, AAT trained and licensed and regulated by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB).

As a virtual accounting practice, services are provided via secure cloud-based platforms along with supported smartphone apps, which means you can instantly upload invoices and receipts and view your real-time financial data which is essential for savvy entrepreneurs. No more shoebox filing systems or manual data entry - just streamlined efficiency that keeps your business moving forward.

We only work with the most up to date software which is GDPR compliant and ready for MTD. We hold Xero Advisor and QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certifications.
